Weather

Western Australia is blessed with a Mediterranean climate that allows for virtually year-round outdoor activities. The South West is characterised by hot, dry summers and mild wet winters. The best cycling conditions are between Autumn (March to May) and Spring (September to November) when there have been sufficient rains to bind the trail surface.

Note: Cycling in the heat of summer not only makes for uncomfortable cycling, but long periods of dry weather cause the pea gravel trail surface to become loose and slippery.
