The Foundation

The Munda Biddi Trail Foundation (MBTF) is a not-for-profit incorporated association established to support the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) in the management, maintenance and promotion of the Munda Biddi Trail that extends from Mundaring to Albany.

Our Purpose

The MBTF supports DBCA to help maintain, promote awareness, and encourage patronage of the Munda Biddi Trail (Trail) that extends from Mundaring to Albany. Its purpose also extends to help further develop community involvement through managing and engaging a volunteer base thus contributing to the recognition of the Trail as Western Australia’s premier long distance off-road cycle trail and a world class tourism and recreation asset.

Our Vision

The Munda Biddi Trail Foundation aims to make Western Australia’s Munda Biddi one of the world’s great long-distance off-road cycling trails.

Our Mission

The Munda Biddi Trail Foundation is at the core of a strong community associated with this iconic off-road cycling trail in Australia’s South-West. The Foundation advocates for, and is involved in:

  • Facilitating access to the Munda Biddi Trail.
  • Enhancing the trail experience through realignments, improvements, and maintenance, including the protection and conservation of environmental, cultural and heritage values.
  • Mobilising, training & motivating volunteers who play a key role in maintaining the trail.
  • Inspiring members and provide guidance to adventurers planning and riding the Trail.
  • Actively engaging in partnership development to support the mission.
