Jarrahwood, named for the Jarrah Wood and Sawmills Company which operated a private railway to Wonnerup, has a very small population of probably around 20 people. There are no shops or services in town, located just off the Vasse Highway, however Nala Mia hut is located right in the centre of town for riders planning to spend the night.

There is also the Jarrahwood Community house located at 15 Middle Rd, if you would like to sleep in a soft bed. It's an authentic, furnished mill cottage available for $20 per head per night. Further details on the community house are also posted at Nala Mia hut and signposted on the Trail as you enter Jarrahwood from the North. Please be considerate and understanding, as the hut is run by volunteers from the town. To stay, visit Helen and Mark at 6 Jarrahwood Mill Road (or phone 08 9756 2138).

Helen and Mark also look after the weather station in Jarrahwood, which regularly records some of the lowest minimum temperatures in the South West.
