Continue ShoppingAdministered by the Recreation and Trails team within Parks and Wildlife, the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) has been instrumental in the design, development and support of the Munda Biddi from the Trail's inception in the late 1990s unti the present day. DBCA supports the Foundation to meet our key maintenance, community-building and publicity objectives, as well as providing Trail infrastructure such as the huts, signage and bridges.
Alcoa operates close to the Munda Biddi Trail between Dwellingup and Collie, with bauxite mines at Huntly and Willowdale and alumina refineries at Kwinana, Pinjarra and Wagerup. The company's bauxite production in WA accounts for around one-third of global supplies. It is committed to sustainable development and for over 50 years, Alcoa has played an important role in adding value to the communities in which they operate. It has supported the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation since its inception. Through a company-sponsored program, Alcoa employees volunteer to help maintain the Trail.
