The Bikepacking Essentials Series - OCTOBER

Join us for the return of The Bike Packing Essentials Series (TBES) in 2024. 

TBES is a multi-day Munda Biddi weekend designed to empower beginner to intermediate off-road enthusiasts with the skills and confidence to get out and plan their own adventures. (PLEASE READ ABILITY GUIDELINES AT END OF PAGE)

In 2024, the MBTF is hosting two weekends in the South West that each will include;

• 2x Munda Biddi Trail rides led by experienced ride guides.
• 1x Mechanics Course (April) or Off-road skills course (October).
• Picturesque accommodation right on the Trail.

TBES doubles as a social event! Providing plenty of opportunity to socialise with your fellow guests at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and, of course, whilst riding.

October 4-6th - Donnelly River - @Loco Shed - Donnelly River Village

Friday: 

Meet your fellow TBES guests at The Loco Shed at Donnelly River Village from 5pm.

Saturday:

• Breakfast at Accom (BYO)
• 3-hour off-road skills course with Mark Hudson - Accredited MTB Coach
• Lunch at General Store
• 25km guided ride exploring a local Donnelly River Loop.
• Group dinner at Tall Timbers Manjimup (user pays)

Sunday:

• Breakfast at Accom (BYO)
• 47km Munda Biddi Trail ride to Kartu Burnu (including stop for lunch)
• Lunch at General Store

3 HR Off-Road Skills Course: This course is designed to improve the mountain biking skills and confidence of participants. Accredited and experienced MTB coach, Mark Hudson, will deliver the course. It will consist of a variety of activities, including obstacles, drills, and games. These activities are intended to challenge and enhance the group's off-road riding ability.

Guided Munda Biddi Trail Rides: Embark on two thrilling guided rides along the iconic Munda Biddi Trail. Led by experienced Munda Biddi Staff and volunteers, these rides will introduce you to gravel cycling at a beginner-friendly pace. Each ride will range from 1.5 to 3.5 hours, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all participants.

Expert Trip Planning Advice: Gain access to the invaluable expertise of Munda Biddi staff and experienced riders. They will be available throughout the event to provide you with personalized guidance and trip-planning advice, empowering you to undertake your own Munda Biddi adventures in the future.

Suitable for MTB, Gravel Bikes, and E-Bikes designed for off-road cycling, this event caters to a variety of bike enthusiasts. To participate, you should have a basic level of bike handling ability and exercise for at least 1 hour once a week. You should also possess the physical fitness to ride at a relaxed pace, with breaks, for approximately one hour on off-road terrain or two hours on sealed roads. Additionally, you should be comfortable tackling one or two climbs of up to 200m per day with minimal or no walking.

Refund Policy:

We understand that circumstances can change, and we want to accommodate your needs as best as possible. If you find yourself unable to attend the Bike Packing Essentials Series event, we offer refunds for ticket purchases made 14 days prior to the event.

To request a refund, please contact admin@mundabiddi.org.au with your order details before the specified cutoff date. After September 20th, refund requests will no longer be processed.

Please note that any refunds approved will be processed within 7 days and credited back to the original payment method.
